Tevita Malasebe met a brutal and tragic death at the hands of these law enforcement officers. He was severely assaulted with wooden planks all over his body. There were torture marks all over the soles of his feet. These convicted officers had repeatedly smashed Malasebe's feet using wooden planks with plenty nails sticking out from the planks. So very brutal and painful the way these men ended Tevita Malasebe's life.

When he appeared in court, he asked the magistrate to authorise a medical check because his legs were swollen and he was in great pain. Those who had him in captivity had been refusing to let him get medical attention.
