Complaint lodged against Khaiyum

Opposition Leader, Ro Teimumu Kepa, has lodged a complaint against Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum for allegedly making a false declaration of his assets in the lead up to last year's election.

Ro Teimumu says in his declaration dated February 24th 2015, Khaiyum stated the value of his Lot 13 DP 9206, CT 37186 at $80,000.

"However on August 29th 2006, a certified true copy of Transfer No 593802, shows that Khaiyum’s company Midlife Investments paid Faiyaz Koya, Sahim Arif Khan, Mohammed Altaf and Anwar Hussein the sum of $100,000 for the Lot.

"Hon Sayed-Khaiyum not only has to answer for the value discrepancy between $80,000 and $100,000. He appears to have also overlooked the fact that on November 17th 2010, Lot 12 right next to his own Lot, was sold by Mr Siddiq Faizal Koya through Transfer Certificate No 738461 for $170,000. The respective size of both Lots is the same, 1099 sq meters," Ro Teimumu said.

She says the discrepancy in the value must be viewed against the Provisions of the Political Parties Decree , specifically Sec 24 (1), (2) (a) (i) and then Sec 24 (3).

Ro Teimumu said Khaiyum is known for taking speedy action against people he wanted prosecuted
including some Members of the Opposition.

She said it is obvious he deliberately delays cases that impact negatively on him or the government, like the police complaint made by former Fiji TV executive  Tanya Waqanika against him.

Khaiyum has also still not provided the public with the relevant details of acquittals on how $100 million of public money was a spent.

Nor has he or the Prime Minister disclosed to the Public Accounts Committee details of payment of Ministerial salaries through the private accounting firm of Nur Bano Ali.

Cunt@6.35AM. The PM of NZ is on an official visit to the UK,he has prior appointments elsewhere in Europe. These engagements were arranged well ahead of time, not like your dumb asshole Bainiceke who hopped on the plane with his ugly wife Mary to go overseas to fundraise his Fiji Fucked Party. Stop sucking your boyfriend's mushroom as it is clouding your judgement. Magaitinamu o iko.

Two cases below for discussion. I wonder who will be discharged without conviction..Vili Rakoro may like to comment, unless he's busy sucking vudi.

Meanwhile Ratu Isoa pleaded not guilty to the charge of failure to declare liabilities before Magistrate Mua after the charge was read to him in court. The case has been adjourned to January 14, 2016 for mention.

THE LAUTOKA Magistrates Court has set January 27 and 28 next year to hear the dangerous driving case involving Local Government Minister Parveen Kumar.

He is charged with one count of causing death by dangerous driving. Mr Kumar appeared before Magistrate Rangajeeva Wimalasena this morning.

@ Dumbo 8:35pm ... hey you know what.. that's right... back in the good old feudal days... there was no disease such as filariasis, no thyphoid, no cataracts, etc...etc... People did not suffer from high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease.

In fact the standard of living and the life expectancy was much much higher then the English and this is why.

In Fiji, they lived in airy bure and ate organic food and the diet comprised of vegetables, fruits, fish, eels, prawns, pig and every now and then some human meat.

In England they bathed once a year... stank worse then pigs... threw all their shit and piss out on the streets and their diet was terrible and they suffered from scurvies and all short of health problems.

85% of the killer disease in Fiji today was brought in by the English.

Our lives were better off during our feudal times then this bull shit Capitalist Pig means.

@ 6:35PM... Austraia and NZ have Governor Generals. We used to have GG but we call them President now because of the coups.

If the PM of Australia and NZ went to watch the World Cup Rugby and stood up fisting the air and their wives like Franky did... they would be crucified.

Their job is to run the countries Administration not gallivant around the world spending tax payers money attending three weeks of rugby then a trip down under to be a guest at a Fiji Day function in Sydney then walk through a crappy suburb full of Indians like Liverpool.....

What someone wrote here about Frank being used by some Indian in Sydney who wanted to elevate his status in Sydney Society by inviting Frank to meet the mayor of Liverpool.... These places are crime riddled full of unemployment and drugs.

Most Indians and Fijians live here because it is cheap. It is dumb for a leader of a country to meet a mayor... there should be a protocol to these sort of things. Indians will always use idiot dickheads like Frank for their own personal agenda and Frank wont even see it because he is to dumb to realise these things.

You could see in his pictures of the cruise that he was getting fed up with the Indians crowding around him.... ha ha ha ha what about the selfies by Indians walking up to Frank when he was sitting on the table and taking a selfie with the PM.....

This PM Frank has no protocol... like the kai loma na manners no good... ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha his too stupid to realise that he is being used... They did it in Canada and again here in Sydney...
He might as well have met the mayor of Lakemba which was named by the great Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara. He might have met the PM from Beirut while he was there.

9:12am... what suits any Government is not to create intelligent educated people.

If society is educated, the Government wont be able to exploit the people.

If they are educated, the Government cannot subjugate the people.

In every country the people rise against the Government and the songs of revolution began in the Universities of those countries.

Just like when Khaiyum became a revolutionary following the 87 coup...Sorry Freddy Fesaitu - you were not a revolutionary. You were an opportunist.

So... people need to educate themselves and stop accepting as truth the bullshit the Government or Opposition is spinning and find out the truth themselves. Only then can the people of Fiji set themselves free of this tyranny.

Khaiyum knows this and has a hold on our educational system and in particular the USP.

@anonymous 11:30 AM It is you and your father Bainimarama who are full of Bullshit.
Lets see, can you tell me WHICH PART OF WHAT I WROTE WAS BULLSHIT?

GO ON TELL US.

Bainmarama's government is THE WORST GOVERNMENT EVER IN FIJI.
THE MOST CORRUPT GOVERNMENT.
THE MOST SOCIALLY IRRESPONSIBLE GOVERNMENT.
Its Ministers are FULL OF LIARS.

Under Bainimarama THE POVERTY RATE IN FIJI ALMOST DOUBLED.
THE SUICIDE RATE, especially amongst young people, went rampant. It is so bad now THAT THE POLICE ARE CONCERNED; Now they have WORKSHOPS IN THE SCHOOLS; Counselling sessions in the schools etc etc etc.
THE YOUNG PEOPLE ARE FARKED!
THANKS TO BAINIMARAMA.

Its obvious that YOU ARE FARKING BLIND, because you cant see whats happening to the young people of Fiji.
YOU AND BAINIMARAMA HAVE FARKED UP THE FUTURE OF THESE YOUNG PEOPLE.

THESE YOUNG PEOPLE ARE LIVING IN A HELPLESS AND HOPELESS SITUATION,,,,and thats why the only way out they see is to kill themselves.
HOW PATHETIC THAT YOU AND BAIMARAMA CANT SEE THIS!
BAINIMARAM IS FARKED IN THE HEAD.
HE IS BLIND and so are you.

I can tell you right now that the situation can ONLY GET WORSE.....
There are consequences to Human Behaviour and suicide begets suicide.
THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THIS IS TO DRAG KAIYUM AND BAI TO COURT AND THROW THEM IN JAIL.

Someone said to me.... we don't want to support FF but what other choice is there... guess what he is Indian... has NFP and Labour lost touch with Indians or do Indians accept the dumb Frank PM because he is easily manipulated...
Another Indian said we were hoping with Franks coup fijians would kill each other but we realised they could turn on us so it was important that soldiers were brutal against Fijians and the effect of that still resounds today. Indians therefore see the military as doing to Fijians what they always wanted and frank being a lunatic is the best candidate.

Anonymous said...

Kua Ni Rere.... Every part of what you said is bullshit...

Nothing you have said makes any sense at all because you are so caught up in your own bullshit, you refuse to see the bigger picture.

Fiji is a Third World Country and has been poor since Independence. That has not changed much.

Suicide has been extremely high amongst Indians and remains the same because of their expectations and culture. With Fijians, they think God and Jesus will make their children pass exams and put food on the table.

Idiots like you continue to spread negative thoughts and make young people negative about the whole situation.

Fiji have had to deal with a tyrant Frank and the Military for the last 9 years now and because no one has had the courage or guts to do anything about it.... people are content to deal with Frank on a day to day basis even though they purely hate Frank, the Military and everything they have done.

People say the things Frank and the Military wants to hear but what choices is there... That's right.. you don't give anyone any option.

You want people to do something and spread your negative bullshit on this blog but you yourself cannot do anything which accept bark with a anonymous name which makes you absolutely useless.

Grow balls and do something positive with your life and spread positive words like perhaps - we can overcome.... Your choice of words is reflective of how you live each day of your life... blaming others but yourself for your stupidity and uselessness..... Do something even if it kills you... oi lamu qori.

I in fact am more white then Fijian but I appreciate what Fiji has to offer but you obviously don't and think that everything the Western World has to offer you is the best for you.

Just as you ignore how terrible this Government is running your country you ignore all the good things you have and think that FB, rugby, cigarettes, beer and all these things will fulfil you.

It is your demise because you were not raised to appreciate these things. You were raised to be a native and to look after your land and your sea and rivers..... FB and mobile phones is so bad today that people have their heads down txting on mobile phones and you call these things good.

I tell you a secret.. Go back to your native nigger ways. You will need it because when shit hits the fan on this world, only those who know how to survive upon the land and sea will survive. Try going without electricity for one week...you will be fucked.

In villages we can go without electricity for a lifetime and there are better things to do then FB, rugby, cigarettes and beer. These are things that are killing the Fijian today and you are to dumb to see it - Nigger

You know what the SAD part is? That the YOUNG PEOPLE KNOW THAT I'M RIGHT AND YOU ARE TRYING TO FOOL THEM AGAIN.

Young Fijians and Indians are sick of people like you.

Why is Bainimarama blocking the Auditor from finding out where the $100million disappeared to from Ministry of Finance.
A young man (Viliame Soko ) was involved in a robbery of $45,000 and the police hunted him down, sodomised him with their BATONS and killed him in the process.
And yet they dont want to investigate the robbery of $100million by BAINIMARAMA.
YOUNG PEOPLE ARE SICK OF THE CORRUPTION OF THIS GOVT.
THE CORRUPTION OF THE POLICE.
YOUNG PEOPLE ARE SICK OF FICAC and the idiot George Langman who cant seem to add 80 + 20.
Goerge's answer is 80 + 20 = 80 when calculating Kaiyum's property purchase.

The Bible says that " RIGHTEOUSNESS EXALTS A NATION, but CORRUPTION BRINGS IT TO ITS KNEES.---Proverbs 14:34

Fiji has BEEN BROUGHT TO HER KNEES by the Corrupt bainimarama.

YOUNG PEOPLE CAN SEE IT.
You cant see it because your head is stuck up Bainimarama's anus and you swallowing all the shit that he says.
Listen to Bainimarama speak and ALL YOU CAN HEAR IS LIE AFTER LIE AFTER LIE.
CORRUPTION AFTER CORRUPTION AFTER CORRUPTION.

"RIGHTEOUSNESS EXALTS A NATION, but CORRUPTION BRINGS IT TO ITS KNEES."

That is why THESE CORRUPT THIEVES NEED TO BE IN JAIL!

Why not, so many deaths at the hands of this regime going unseen. Why cant one person be pardoned,if only we Fijians started using our heads.

Politics & Government

What are some characteristics of a bad leader

Best Answer: Here's a list of the top 19.

1. Too much love for self. A bad leader puts himself above others. In matters involving the organization, he would rather protect his own interests that that of the organization.

2. Poor communication. He assumes a lot and expects others to play by his rules. Yet, he rarely communicates his expectations, his goals and the things that he wants the organization to work on. Poor communication is the cause of numerous preventable conflicts. That is why this is a bad trait for a leader to have.

3. Unwillingness to Take Risks. Whether in a business setting or in a non-profit situation, risks are inevitable. A leader who does not want to take risks is either deluded or living in an entirely closed shell!

4. Indecisiveness. A bad leader wavers in his decisions. He decides one thing, then change it again. Then change it again soon after that. People can get easily confused because of this indecisiveness.

5. Laissez Faire. This leader simply lets things happen as they happen. He does not want to participate in constructing the reality that would lead to benefit the organization.

6. Poor Self Management. If you cannot manage yourself, how do you expect to manage a whole set of people who are working on different issues and tasks at the same time? Personal self management is a necessity for any good leader.

7. Playing Favorites. Everything in an organization must be merit-based. Rewards and even punishments must be commensurate to output and performance. If a leader plays favorites, then he is compromising the long-term health of the organization.

8. Lack of Accountability. When a leader just wants to do things his own way without regard of accountability, you have take note. This is the beginning of a lack of accountability which might lead to a leader going astray.

9. Deceitful. If a leader starts telling stories to one person and then a different version of that story to another person, then deceit has taken hold of the leader. There is probably some kind of cover-up going on.

10. Too passionate for power, wealth and prestige. Leaders are entitled to wealth, power and prestige. But if he passionate only for these things, then something has gone awry! He is no longer thinking right for his office and for the organization.

11. Loves big strategies but no thought for implementation. It's good to dream. But you gotta wake up to implement and chase after those dreams!

12. Too much focused on rules. No problem on rules but there are times that they have to be bent to accommodate a bigger good.

13. Ruling with an iron hand. There is no armed rebellion in the workplace isn't there? Since there is none, there is really no need for ruling with an iron hand!

14. Impulsiveness. A leader should think carefully before embarking on any project and say anything at all!

16. Complicates conflicts instead of resolving them. A leader should learn how to manage conflicts and not inflame them.

17. Unwillingness to learn. Given the present situation of the global economy and how the business setting changes continuously, learning is imperative.

18. Reacting negatively to criticism. A leader should keep an open ear to criticism, whether good or bad. It might lead to something good if taken in the right way.

19. Approves unethical business. This is a sure-fire guarantee that your organization will go the way of Enron. Beware of leaders who approve unethical business!

How Power Corrupts Leaders
Why and how does power corrupt leaders?

Most people have heard the line "Power corrupts." (Or the longer version, "Absolute power corrupts absolutely.". The question I'm often asked is "why and how does power corrupt leaders?"

The answer is complex, but fairly clear. Leadership, at its core, is all about power and influence. Leaders use their power to get things done. A simple distinction is between two forms of power. Socialized power is power used to benefit others. We hope that our elected officials have this sort of power in mind and are primarily concerned with the best interests of their constituents.

The other form of power is called personalized power, and it is using power for personal gain. Importantly, these two forms of power are not mutually exclusive. A leader can use his or her power to benefit others, but can also gain personally (there are no poor former U.S. Presidents!). The obvious problem is when personalized power dominates and the leader gains, often at the followers' expense.

Yet, leaders can delude themselves that they are working for the greater good (using socialized power), but engage in behavior that is morally wrong. A sense of power can cause a leader to engage in what leadership ethicist, Terry Price, calls "exception making" (link is external) - believing that the rules that govern what is right and what is wrong does not apply to the powerful leader "for other people, this would be wrong, but because I have the best interests of my followers at heart, it's ok for me to...." During Watergate, the argument was made that President Nixon could not have acted illegally because "the President is above the law."

Leaders can also become "intoxicated" by power - engaging in wrong behavior simply because they can and they can get away with it (and followers are willing to collude and make such exceptions "It's ok because he/she is the leader"). Some have suggested that President Clinton's engaged in a sexual dalliance with intern Monica Lewinsky simply because "he could."

Power has advantages and disadvantages for leaders.

On the positive side, power makes leaders more assertive and confident and certain of their decisions. This enables them to move forward on chosen courses of action. Leaders must use power to "get the job done."

On the negative side, the more people possess power, the more they focus on their own egocentric desires and the less able they are to see others' perspectives.

And then there are individual differences. Some people are simply power hungry and prone to use their power to subjugate others - they are "leaders from hell"...but that is another post.

“Vanity is one of the things which are perhaps most difficult for a noble man to understand: he will be tempted to deny it, where another kind of man thinks he sees it self-evidently. The problem for him is to represent to his mind beings who seek to arouse a good opinion of themselves which they themselves do not possess—and consequently also do not "deserve,"—and who yet BELIEVE in this good opinion afterwards. This seems to him on the one hand such bad taste and so self-disrespectful, and on the other hand so grotesquely unreasonable, that he would like to consider vanity an exception, and is doubtful about it in most cases when it is spoken of.”

Excerpt From: Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche. “Beyond Good and Evil.”

@11:01 The kind of vanity observed here is exactly that "grotesque", "unreasonable", sense of self-importance that Nietzsche described so well.

With globalisation, consumerism, democracy, it has become quite a common thing for the "old slave man" (to use Nietzsche formula) to see in himself a "great" person, but of course he is NOT a NOBLE person, but a fake. It is a tragedy when a slave mind becomes a master mind, and that is what we see all the time in our modern democratic world. Petty people gets to the top.

By the way, it also explains why the design of a national flag can't be a democratic exercise. The NOBLE banner blue has to be design only by the NOBLE, and only the NOBLE knows what is NOBLE.

You can advise those who suffered to report the matter to police. If she committed what you say she did commit, she is breaking the law and that is why we have a law.

I can quite understand why people break the law today because our PM committed Treason and got away with it. He continues to break the law with nepotism and corruption and continues to get away with it.

Oh - I have to be careful with what I say and substantiate this with evidence.

Just how long are some going to use the old blame game?

Is every rape or crime attributable to this government? Why does it not appear that rapes and crimes are also blamed on previous governments and those responsible for coups? How about you also blame them on those that used to rule Fiji and eat one another?

It's time to grow up and take responsibility, it's not always someone else's fault.

Take a hard look at Fiji and you see a country where the majority are well off.

There is ample land for the small population.

The towns are sinking in a dump of take away food and drink refuse suggesting plenty of spare money.

The youths congregate, drinking and drug taking again suggesting spare money.

Millions of dollars are given to support religious cults and spent following them suggesting spare money.

Wake up Fiji, the blame does not only lie with those at the top but those lazy, useless, filthy scum at the bottom !

If you look at the statistics , rape and other sexual crimes were already happening ( like you said), HOWEVER FROM 2006 the figures increased EXPONENTIALLY ?
Increased Poverty
Increased Child sexual molestation.
Increased Suicide
Increased Murder
Increased Rape.
Increased Domestic Violence and even Death or Murder of the spouse.

As an INTELLIGENT PERSON who genuinely wants to HELP PEOPLE. first you must find out the cause.

SO IF YOU LOOK, YOU WILL SEE , THAT ALL THIS FIGURES SUDDENTLY GOT WORSE AFTER 2006.
WHY?

Its obvious.... Bainimarama did a Coup in Fiji.
There was no War or any other Disasters...NO JUST A COUP.

If you know Human Behaviour, you will understand straightaway why ALL THIS HAPPENED.

I will mention here 2 things about Human Behaviour ( and by the way I PREDICTED ALL THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN.... all because of a simple understanding of human behaviour)
2 Things :
1) People always follow the LEADER...whether we are talking about a Family Household or talking about Nazi Germany. EVERYTHING HINGES ON LEADERSHIP.
IF YOU HAVE A CORRUPT LEADER.....then ABSOLUTELY QUARANTEED , YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE A CORRUPT POPULATION.
Its happening at every level of Society in Fiji now. Just open your eyes. Whether its school bullies or rape at home or bullying at work or child molestation : AS YOUR LEADER GOES , SO DO YOU.

2) Secondly :
Corruption begets Corruption.
This is what Bainimarama and Kaiyum DONT UNDERSTAND.
WHEN THEY ACCEPT BRIBES AND STEAL MONEY .....everyone else start to do the same.
YOU SEE KAIYUM SAYING WE SHOULD REPORT CORRUPT PEOPLE.
DUH!
HOW ABOUT THEY START AT MINISTRY OF FINANCE.

I've got a lot more to say but I wont.
THEREFORE BAINIMARAMA AND KAIYUM ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT SITUATION FIJI IS IN NOW.

"Righteuosness exalts a Nation. Corruption brings it to its knees"
FIJI IS FARKED.
THE ONLY WAY WE CAN TURN IT AROUND IS TO GFAB BAINIMARAMA AND KAIYUM AND THROW THEM IN JAIL.

@Kua Ni Rere 3:50 PM

Unfortunately your logic fails once again blinded simply by your hate of two people.

You talk of statistics, unsubstantiated yet again, and bleat on with unproven accusations against those two you despise so vehemently.

Fiji has always supposedly had corrupt leaders, as the majority of third world countries reportedly also have.

You may well be one of the dumb sheep that follow the leader but I doubt the majority are like you.

Now lets get back to your statistics that your dumb brain totally blames there escalation on two people and your alleged accusations.

Have you looked at similar crime statistics for countries that reportedly have democratic and stable governmental systems? I suggest you do that before making an ass of yourself again and trying to con those that look outside the box.

Anon 4.26. While i agree that most of the time Kua ni Rere makes no sense i do agree with him that a lot of things have gotten worst under the current regime particularly crime. Their is an underlying logical explanation for this and most of it has to do with poverty although i simply do not know how to explain rape as this does not have anything to do with poverty in most cases. You are obviously blind as a bat when it comes to FF and cant see any wrong that they have done. Let me enlighten you. Since this government came to power in 2006 they first devalued our dollar by 20%. If you know anything about importing you will understand that the net effect on the goods imported is about 35% AS WE ARE THE ONLY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD WHICH HAS A COMPOUNDED DUTY SYSTEM. In the other words duty in Fiji is paid not only on the cost of goods it is also paid on freight and any other charges like insurance, loading costs etc and it is compounded. Second they removed the 27% highest duty band and changed it to 32%. 3rd they introduced a 10% and 15% new tax called exercise tax which is now applicable on normal items like shoes, biscuits candy chocolates and any thing else the government considers luxurious as if we live in the 18th century when barefoot was the norm and shoes were rare. In the last budget anything that was being charged low duty such as shaving creams body lotions etc was increased to 32%. With the exception of Rice oil and a few other real basic item nothing in Fiji is on the low duty scale. In total real inflation has reached about 70% across the board since 2006 and pay well the minimum wage is $2.30 an hour. This is just one of the many ills of this government. Now Mr. Blind Bat please tell me if these price increases are justified in an economy that is as small as ours and where people earn an average of about $150 a week. Governments argument that the tourism industry needed the devaluation is bullshit. About 80% of everything the tourism industry uses from Candles to Olives come from abroad. How does this help the tourist industry. The hotels simply increased their prices of everything and you talk to any tourist they now find Fiji very expensive. The industry is only doing well because of the fact that Fijian hospitality is one of the best in the world and because of the threat of Islamic tourism in places like Bali etc. Having a stronger dollar is an illusion in that the tourist quickly realize that their stronger dollar does not buy them much when the average meal at a hotel is $40. Simply put rampant poverty as a result of inflation is the work of artificial economic policies instigated by this government. Before you ask for stats here are official government figures 42000 plus people are registered as unemployed 68% of our households earn less then $180 a week which is below the minimum living wage. Its been 9 years since Qarase left office. We cant blame him anymore for what is current and clearly effects of poor economic decisions made by 2 loonies.
This is just one of the many wrongs of this government and i have not even started yet. BEFORE YOU ACCUSE ME OF BEING A SODELPA SUPPORTER I AM NOT NOR WAS I A SDL GUY. I NEVER DID NOR WILL SUPPORT THEM AS I THINK THEY ARE WORST THEN FF. What i am is a businessman who employs 50 people. I know what i am talking about when it comes to the economy.
Debate me on the ills of this government and i will hopefully get you to see the light.

Over to you Bats.

Ahhh Alibaba comes to light and claims to be a businessman who employs 50 people... Are you also going to claim you have a magic carpet Alibaba... Are you the same guy who says his mother is from Beqa and father an Indian....

Welcome to the current world economy Alibaba...The same you see in Fiji is happening in every part of the world. Unfortunately what you see happening to Fiji is happening in every country. Europe is going into a melt down. China same and this may cause Australia and NZ to go into recession and hopefully not a depression. There is a likelihood there may be a war seeing Russia involved separately in Syria with US and England with other allies there.

Now rape... whoa that is a problem that has existed in Fiji and in particular amongst Fijians for a very long time. They tend to rape their small uns without any misgiving.

Most likely it has been happening in the villagers for so long and now the move into towns and live in squatter settlements, the problems escalated.

Coups has not helped with rape nor the economy.

You can carry on buzzing like a fly Aibaba but where does that lead you. If you don't like Frank, don't vote for him in the next election. Fuck him...His an arrogant dickhead. Im sure his wife bought a dildo for him when they returned from the overseas trip...

Besides, I fucked his daughter Rubyann when she was in Sydney... The bitch swallows bro... Now don't worry about Kua ni Rere... Him and you are the same. You should not hang out together.

Did you vote FF... I hope you did not even though you claim you are not supporting Frank...

Update: 10:02AM Government will officially launch the Prevention of the Child Abuse and Neglect (PCAN) awareness campaign this Friday.

Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Rosy Akbar, in a press statement says the launch is also a build-up event for the commemoration of the World Day for Prevention of Child Abuse also known as Blue Ribbon Campaign on November19.

"The purpose of the launch is to share information and strengthen networks within government and non-government agencies service providers for child protection in Fiji.

"Oratory contests and essay competitions has also been organised in schools in partnership with the Ministry of Education. This would include awareness on National Child Helpline, positive parenting, counselling and support services available when addressing issues of child abuse and neglect."

Anon @ 5:54 PM has beaten me to it so I will not waste time repeating some of what he has said.

What I will say is that just like KNR you you need to look outside of that box you live in.

Firstly, why do you automatically assume I am a supporter of a certain party and can not see any wrong in what they have done? An over active imagination on your part because there's nothing in my post you refer to that suggests or supports that. You accuse me of being as blind as a bat, but it is obvious that although you have eyes to see you lack a brain that understands what is written.

It does not matter what government is in place there will always be those that disagree with certain policies and actions, but the reality is they will all do similar, they have little choice in todays world because we are governed by world policy also.

So have your views on the economy, which of course will be biased due to your own personal circumstances but others have different priorities also.

But back to crime, very simply it's increasing everywhere not just in Fiji.

Rosy Akbar talks about "positive parenting " to help fight child sexual abuse.
However most of these kids are abused by a person other than the parent.

This just shows the stupidity of people from Fiji First Government.

JUST SHOWS THAT THESE MINISTERS ARE OUT OF THEIR DEPTH.

THEY ARE CLUELESS.

God help us. These Fiji First Idiots are only making the situation worse. AND IN THIS CASE "BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE".

Meanwhile little kids are being sodomised everyday. Young people commit suicide. And a Government Debt that was run up by FOOLISH AND IRRESPONSIBLE PEOPLE LIKE Bainimarama.
NO WONDER THERE'S A BIG DEBT , when the Prime Minister of Fiji says that 20% of $400,000 is $420,000.
ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA!

And his Ministers are clueless too. DEFINITELY OUT OF THEIR DEPTH.
YOU GOVT MINISTERS SHOULD GIVE UP. YOU ARE CAUSING MORE HEARTACHE TO THE PEOPLE OF FIJI.
HAND IN YOUR RESIGNATION AND acknowledge that Bainimarama and his govt FARKED IT UP.

Party general secretary Pio Tabaiwalu said making public statements to the media about grievances within the party contradicted the party's constitution.

He said they hoped to have all differences and grievances ironed out before the end of the year.

The mind boggles.........................

KUA NI RERE said...

@9:09PM I mentioned 6 year olds because the Fiji Times reported yesterday that a 7 year old was raped last week by a 54 year old man.
YOUR FRIEND AT 8:11PM SAID WE SHOULD START WARNING PARENTS. And that is what he calls "Positive Parenting".
So what age do you think we should start warning the parents from?
So shall we start warning parents of 3year olds or 1 year olds or at birth? Which one is it?

Lets just extrapolate on what he says : OK so you start warning parents....So now you have possibly 10% of kids being sexually molested and the other 90% who managed to get away unmolested are have been COCOONED AND EMOTIONALLY + SOCIALLY DEPRIVED from interacting normally with their male relatives and friends.
LETS KEEP EXTRAPOLATING:
So now you have a FUTURE GENERATION WHERE 10% HAVE PTSD due to sexual molestation, AND THE 90% WHO ARE SOCIALLY AND EMOTIONALLY MALADJUSTED...
Can you see where we are going with this?
And of course the MOTHERS whom you POSITIVE PARENTED now suffering from Anxiety, Anxiety Attacks and Panic Attacks.

Geez I wonder IS MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS INCREASING IN FIJI? Hmmmmm I wonder why? Duh!

So now you have a Future Generation that is even more farked than the one we have now.
AND THIS IS WHAT Fiji First and Rosy Akbar are advocating.
This is why are I say bainimarama's Ministers are clueless and sometimes downright stupid and incompetant.

@9:07 asked am I going to ignore the problem?
Of course not.
MY ANSWER IS ALWAYS WHAT I'VE ALWAYS ADVOCATED BEFORE , that THE FIRST AND PRIMARY THING THAT THE PEOPLE OF FIJI MUST DO IS TO THROW Bainimarama and Kaiyum in jail....
If this is done then all this problems of Youth Suicide, Sexual Molestations etc etc will be halved immediately.
I havent got time and I will bore you to death if I give to you the step by step reasoning to my conclusion.

NEEDLESS TO SAY THAT THE PRESENT GOVERNMENT POLICY is a Half-baked, clutching at the air farked up solutions.
I dont know whether they are just Incompetant and truly Ignorant or WHETHER THIS IS A DELIBERATE PLOY TO RUN THIS COUNTRY EVEN MORE TO THE GROUND.

Breakdown In Samoan Family Values Behind Crime: Former MP
Technology affecting people in negative way: Leota

By Sarafina Sanerivi

APIA, Samoa (Samoa Observer, Oct. 26, 2015) – A former Member of Parliament believes a breakdown in family values is responsible for high levels of crime in Samoa.

"Our family values are broken down and I believe that is the cause of all these troubles," Leota Su’atele Manusegi said.

"Technology has really affected our people in a very negative way. I’m not saying that it is bad, but it has changed the behaviors of our people in a very bad way.

"I believe that the main cause of these crimes is because our people do not value the special things that our people used to treasure. Things like life, our culture and traditions.

"Nowadays, our people are being manipulated by all these technologies and they value these things more than they value our tradition and fa’a Samoa.

"Life is something that we should treasure and it is the most valuable thing in the world, but what is happening now? Every week there is always someone being killed. By who? Their own relatives, their own husbands and friends.

"It is intolerable and we cannot just sit around and pretend that nothing is wrong. These kinds of things rarely happened back in the day. But what’s happening now, it is rapidly increasing and that breaks my heart. "

Leota believed there was a simple way to deal with crime.

"Everything starts from our families. That is where our children are first educated and [it is] the solid foundation of any Samoan," he said.

"I believe that everyone has a part to play. Samoa is known as the most organised community because of its matai system. Again, that is starting to fade away. It is time to rekindle our culture and bring back our values and traditions.

"Our government is wasting a lot of money in bringing in overseas people and in hosting workshops and seminars about ways to reduce the increasing number of crimes we have in Samoa. They can’t just bring in palagis and expect them to solve this issue, as if they are some kind of Jesus Christ.

"Go back to our roots, our basic value systems. I believe that if we have more workshops in the villages involving all the people in the village under the supervision of ali’i and faipule and church leaders, it will help bring our people together and talk about these things.

"I feel that if our youths are taught and are reminded about how valuable life is together, we can help [end] these bad behaviors.

"Evening services is one practice that we seldom see nowadays.

Where are our children during these times? They are either at the rugby fields, or they are hanging out with their friends.

"Our people should go back to enforcing these practices."

Leota felt there was a lack of caring in Samoan culture.

"They say that sharing is caring and we used to care for each other because it was part of our cultural norms.

"I believe that is why there are a lot of disputes nowadays - we don’t care about each other anymore and again, our family values are broken down.

"We have a small police force here in Samoa. But with the help of ali’i and faipule and faifeaus and everyone, we can reduce these crimes."

It is obvious that the FF apologists are happy with the so called 4.3% growth in our GDP. The i told you so movement must be happy today. What most people fail to see is where the growth comes from.
Public Sector spending in other words government spending, remittances, and the tourism market. That is about all.Nothing innovative here. Same shit but a little better.

The real measure of a countries growth comes from the measure of disposable income of the masses. In Fiji's case this is very very low and no real changes have been made in the last 8 years or so. People and that is 68% still earn below poverty line.

On the Flip side i disagree with KNR that the government does not have money. It does NOT have money to upgrade our hospitals and schools. What it does have money for is fancy 4WD'S and the upgrade of shit ass projects such the Albert Park. We are spending $16m to upgrade the Albert Park while cancer patients in the west have to take their Chemo Therapy in an office and those in Suva barely have a room with sparse furniture if any. This is a disgrace and the people of this country do nothing and say nothing. We are a passive bunch of losers, and ass kissers who cant see past political rhetoric and pure bull crap.

I don't agree with most of KNR'S rants and find some of his arguments illogical but at least he has the foresight to see past bull crap unlike some government ass kissers on this sight.

In order to fight social ills, a nation needs to get rid of the crap.
In Fiji or Samoa or any other places, that means violent movies, porn and so on.
There is no will to address those issues.

@10:32 AM We have to stop thinking that the people of the Pacific are dumb and should spend
more time (money) at church. NO! They should read more great and inspiring books!
They should read Montaigne, Nietzsche, Kant, Darwin, Socrates, and so on.
A wise man is a better man. The Pacific needs to reinvent itself.

In order to change a nation, one can find inspiration in art.
Changing National symbols can be part of the process, provided the people can
rally around something meaningful to them. Never forget that Cakobau rised from
depravation to become a respectable man in the span of a few decades.
There is always light where there is inspiration.

An article that's been written by someone way behind with the times.

Just how much church time does a person need before they know the difference between right and wrong?

Its the church that has caused so many of the family and social problems.

They have demanded far too much time of their following because they are operated like commercial entities these days. What they have promoted and produced is a lazy following that is starved of the very family time that we all know is needed even more in these times.

What is needed is less church !

We will just have to make do with Frank Bainimarama for the next four years.

That is the way it is.

We can yell shout and scream but we might as well bang our heads against the wall because the people of Fiji have resigned themselves to Frank and we have no leader with guts to stand up against Khaiyum and Frank.

Even the Military have their tails between their legs when it comes to Khaiyum.

The Military senior officers and the military council cannot say or do anything against Khaiyum. They tried and look what happened... Everyone got kicked out or shipped out. The rest are overseas living their as refugees and cant go back to Fiji.

People + Military Scared of Frank and Bainimarama and the reason.....

Militaries excuse - Their only job and source of income.

People's excuse - Waiting for someone to do something.

Franks excuse for keeping Khaiyum - The Military cannot come up with anyone else who is credible.

Literally Fiji is Fucked for the next couple of years and come 2018 - most likely Frank will again be voted in by the Indians and half the Fijian population.

Your stuck with Frank and the Military and we can only read about your ranting and raving on this blog site but none of you have the courage to stand up against Frank and not back down even if your beaten, violated or killed - well killed is drastic but at least you can be remembered in history.

It was the only solution possible for Fiji to generate the income needed to employ more road sweepers.

These were necessary to clear up the filth dropped all over the place by the rich slobs that are always stuffing their faces with takeaway food and littering the place.

The other revelation that will come out is that all baby food, diapers, strollers and children's clothes will be hit with 35% VAT in an effort to stop the uncontrolled breeding of too many children per family.

Anonymous said...

@3:27 PM
Nooooooooooooooo!!!!!! not another 5%?!?!?!?
Why don't they bring back the income tax bracket to 32% for the rich?
32% is very low by world standards. In the best rich countries, rich people pay 50%
income tax.
How come a rich in Fiji should pay less?!?!?

Cut the wages of MPs, get rid of SUVs, use smaller flags or made of a cheaper favric, cut somewhere else!!!

Anonymous said...

How about close up all churches and ban the travelling road show bible bashers?

People would then have more disposable money in their pockets, more time to become productive, add more to the economy by being productive and there would be no need for a VAT hike.

Anonymous said...

@4:33 PM
Using smaller flags is a really good idea.
They could cut 15% on the length of the flag (they would last longer) and use a more simple design instead.
That way, there would be no need to increase VAT.

@4:33 PM
Fiji is the third most religious country in the world.
Making church free might be a better alternative to closing churches. The talalatas and betes could work for free!

What about get rid of the military as they are basically useless. What do we need them for.... Another coup. Get rid of the military and it is savings of $200 million dollars. Sell the military camp and houses and you get in another $200 million dollars.

Solution is very simple.

Besides, who is proud of the military. Everytime they march, you can hear the magaitinaudou... dou vei cai... yavu sona levu boci.. surrender cowards being muttered by the general public.

Anonymous said...

Gee, are you suggesting that anyone would spread Gods word for free? Sorry, not in Fiji.

No, the real solution is to target the taxi service. Every bugger in Fiji thinks it's their god dam right to be able to stop anywhere put your hand out and a taxis at your feet within 30 seconds.

No taxi should be able to stop anywhere, within a town area, other than a marked rank. This would force people to walk, reduce their weight, make them fitter and hence reduce their susceptibility to obesity and NCDs. In turn this will reduce much of the governments unnecessary expenditure within the health service.

Hence a VAT hike could be saved.

Anonymous said...

@Anon 4:56 PM

I would be very careful with that suggestion.

What would they then do?

It could end up costing the country far more than the savings.

Another area that needs a bit of scrutiny. In Australia and NZ, real estate agents charge a sales commission of around 1 to 2%. How come in Fiji, its 5% and more plus VAT? Foreign franchises like Harcourts Fiji and its franchisee owner is creaming it pushing house prices way beyond what is reasonable and fair. If you look back at historical house prices in Fiji, you can track the fantastic escalation of prices to when Harcourts entered the Fiji market in 2003.
In Australia, politicians go on and on about how average wage relative is average house prices is a factor of around 8%. Eg, Australian average wage is $60K and average house price is $480k. They want it to come down to around 3 - 4%. In Fiji I reckon its 20%. How will school teachers, nurses, firemen, let alone factory workers, salesmen, clerks ever afford to buy a house. There simply needs basic regulation on how much commission real estate agents can charge. Mahendra Reddy, pay attention. I appreciate other factors like supply and demand dictate house prices but sales commission also have a role, as greedy agents inflate prices.

Now try to focus on something more constructive, what about designing some great piece of artwork, do some painting maybe? Try something relaxing. It's not healthy to be angry all the time!

Put your hope in a better Fiji. Fiji will always stand no matter whAt happens.

@ 5:08pm... The military can do the very suggestion their President has made. Go and plant Tavioka in their villages and make use of their land.

Besides - 80% of the military have below form 4 education. They are nuts ulukau ulu lala and would believe and follow Frank into the toilet wiping his arse washing his hands for him.

That is why they have followed the orders of their superior without question and done the wrong thing against their nation.

Look at all the brutality. Like the cunt Naupote said... I ordered my men to rough them up so that they would not be a problem.

Non commissioned officers were told to be brutal towards anyone who was against the Military and their racist coup and they were as brutal as heartless gutless cowards as they wanted to be. They attacked and bashed unarmed men, young and old, women, teenagers and killed a few people.

Now we have this case with Benedito. Those police and military were too bloody dumb to think that there is a law and the arm of the law is where Benedito should be dealt with. Arrest and put him in jail. If he resisted, apprehend him with minimal force. Put him in jail for the next 20 to 30 years and confinement and no freedom or rights will make him realise how his young life has been wasted and that is punishment for his crime but no no no no...

Now you see the pictures of these police and military men, looking like mice and cowardly... They realise that they will be put in the very same institution as Benedito and their ass must be sorry for following the brutal military ways. Now fuck them... send them to jail for also breaking the law.

You know what... I would not be surprised if they spend one month in jail and are released.... It happened to Kean and those that murdered young Rabaka... Frank promised to look after these people and he will.

Frank and Khaiyum have control of the legal system well Khaiyum does and the legal fraternity cannot do anything about it. They bitch and moan but at the end of the day.. Khaiyums word happens.

Why do you think nothing will happen about the declaration accusation made by Temumu.

On top of it, Temumu and her band of dumb men do not know how to go about these things to make sure it sticks

How can anyone anyway...it gets back to the military baboons, they send their boys around who will threaten you and like cowards people shy away...

Fiji is Fucked Up. Fiji deserves Frank and Khaiyum for voting them in and Fiji will get what they deserve. I hear many people who supported Frank complain about Frank and blame Khaiyum but hey.... suck it up... You voted him in - have him... His your PM now......until 2018 then you decide again.

You want another dumb vengeful stupid idiotic alcoholic tax payer spending PM... You can be dumb again and vote him back in.

I tell my Indian brothers - you guys have been duped and you fell for it. You have voted for a Fijian who is the leader of the racist institution of the military.

JVK from Vkbl is a man related to the Bainimarama-Kean couple.
Now try to find a name starting with J, and try to guess what the K stands for...
The V is the Fijian part of the name.

Our land has been stolen by that man, and we have been threatened by the police.
The man is a sly conman. He has a bad eye too. Bainimarama knows him very well.

Bainimarama should be very careful when doing dealings with that man.
Too many people know the story now... qarauna!!!!

Update: 2:07PM THREE police officers and one soldier who appeared at the Nasinu Magistrates' Court at midday today have been granted bail.

The four, police officers Sanita Laqenasici, Jona Davonu, Semesi Naduka and soldier Filimone Catimaibulu, are charged with sexual assault contrary to section 210 (1)(a) and (3)(a) of the Crimes Decree 2009 in relation to an alleged sexual assault on Iowane Benedito which occurred in November 2012.

Magistrate Charles Ratakele granted bail on conditions which includes a $2000 bail bond on each of the accused persons and their two sureties.

The matter has been adjourned to December 2 for mention at 2:30pm.

Fiji has been fucked by its own citizens voting a killer, treasonist, violent sadist, women basher, coward as the PM of Fiji.

Everything in Fiji today will turn bad because you follow something bad.

Serves you right Fiji. Don't complain and suck it in. Your fucked and you don't even know it. Continue to support and suck Frank and Khaiyum and he will slowly bleed you dry.

You all just a bunch of suckers and Frank has sucked you right in.

@3:36pm - so what happened have they changed the Magistrate because the first one did not grant them bail.

Are you sure they have only been charged for one offence only. They should also be charged for Assault Occasioning Griveous Bodily Had... and a bunch of other charges.

Why only one. Most likely they will be given suspended jail terms and return to serve the police and army.

The message this fucked up PM Franky the Clown the Magaitinana luveni caititamana is telling all you fucked up stupid ass dumb citizens of Fiji who voted him in, is that he allows his military and police to brutalize people. He will protect them if they do it in the name of his State or Government.

This will not be the end of it.

By the way.. what happened with the brave ones from Ra. Police were told to come back with evidence or the case will be thrown out of court.

Your some real dumb ass let someone else do it Fijians. That is why Fijians head no where in life. You always expect someone else to do it for you. As long as its free, you praise. If it cost you, you will curse.

Amazing that Temumu lodges a report, gets a response from Khaiyum and that's it.... No further attacks.

People of Fiji are dumb. They believe what anyone says and are completely stupid.

I was in the market when I saw people swallowing very hot chillies whole. When I asked what that was supposed to do, they said if you have a lot of cold in your body, the hot chilly will fix it.

Because the chillies is hot, they said one has to swallow it whole.

The amazing thing was that many of those who believe in this I thought were educated.

Everyone in Fiji started to swallow chillies whole.

@2:41 AM
it's not a story, it's a warning for my former good friend Bainimarama.
(we are still friends actually, but he doesn't trust me anymore as I have liumuried him in the past)
I have to hide the name so that he knows who I am talking about while you guys remain in darkness.

But everybody in my clan and in Vkbl settlement knows the story. Because everybody lives in fear,
the story remains "secret". But that was ever to become public, man.... big trouble for Bainimarama!!!
That little story about Khaiyum is nothing in comparison. Nothing!

By the way, Khaiyum is smarter when comes the time to hide money. His mum for example "bought"
land on Naisoso (million dollars block) but no money ever changed hands. Khaiyum will get it back
when his mum dies, it's part of a long term inheritance plan. You see, that's the way to go. If you have relatives you can trust 100%, like your parents say, then you have to use them in order to play the game.
Remember how long it took Bainimarama and Khaiyum to disclose their "official" assets? very long because they first had to find a way to hide them!

The case of JVK of Vkbl settlement is another kind of example of dirty deal going on, and the schocking thing is that EVERYBODY in the settlement knows about it, but NOBODY talks... My clan has been threatened by the police many times, so mayself I have to be careful.

Still I forgive Bainimarama, he is just as bad as the whole lot of us.

CONCERNS have been raised by a school manager in the Seaqaqa district regarding the increasing number of bachelors in villages around the district.

Speaking to Minister for Education Dr Mahendra Reddy on Saturday, Seaqaqa district representative to the District School Managers council meeting Solomoni Naqoli said they needed single female teachers as there were a lot of bachelors in their village.

Mr Naqoli told Mr Reddy most of the female teachers transferred to their school were married.

"There are a lot of male bachelors in the village and we need to get them married off," he said. "It is very difficult to find matches for these men."

Responding to the concerns, Dr Reddy said he was aware of the same trend at Coboi Village in Bua.

"In the village of Coboi, a total of 30 young men between the ages of 20 and 30 are still single and finding matches," he said.

"This is becoming a serious problem in our rural settlements and communities."

On a lighter note, Dr Reddy said most of the married had difficulties in having children because they were spending less time with their wives and most of their time with friends around the yaqona bowl.

------------------------------
Here is a cause/consequence of the poor attitude men have towards women. Women are trying to find refuge in the cities, and the countryside is dying. When a village dies, a dialect dies, a culture dies.

It is unlikely that a female teacher would feel safe in such village as the shortage of women is simply too great!
Fiji needs to import Chinese women, or women from other Melanesian countries. Chinese women would bring the dynamism Fiji needs.

Anonymous said...

@Anonymous 4:06 PM

""It is very difficult to find matches for these men.""

That's because the girls have become more educated and expect something more in life that what's on offer.

If only the parents of these young men had considered rugby and church does not give the young males much prospect other than being a burden on society for the rest of their lives.

Anonymous said...

4.06 pm. .lol..ha ha ha ha! Stupid!
It's not new. You'll find the same situation all over Fiji. Just change the mindset.
...well well. This is what Dr Reddy is good at. Is he there to talk about education or sex? Areas which he should focus on is sidetracked for this meaningless topic. Damn!
That's why teachers don't like him because he is doing the opposite . Marriage in the village is neither his business nor his jurisdiction ..anyway will substituting male with female teachers improve education in the rural? Will it save costs to the ministry? Widen your spectrum and do math. It costs more to have a single female teacher in the rural(no offense to the female teachers) if you fork in paid absences due to pregnancy, prenatal leave, sick leave, leave of absence, etc and when the hospital or dispensary is an island away or a town away its another cost. While I salute the honorary services of female teachers nationwide I urge the Minister to engage in important dialogue that's detrimental to its role in the classroom.

Anonymous said...

@5:03 PM

Those married are having "difficulties" to have children because of kava...

Try to explain how our country works to a foreigner and they will think we are crazy.

The other day I saw one of those young men, maybe about 20 but only about 5 teeth left in the mouth and half drunk at 1pm by the jetty of our town... and some people really thing that the "government" is the only issue here...

Oilei...

So I wonder what happens with the extra women in the towns/cities...

can't you wait for Monday before posting such insanities? Today is Sunday!

Taking into a account Schopenhauer's observation that
"Every satisfaction a man attains lays the seeds of some new desire, so that there is no end to the wishes of each individual will."

I would say that getting married, having sex, would bring new desires, like having a better wife, more children, more land and so on, thus destroying the core of Fijian wisdom, which is not to waste one's life with primitive and insignificant objects.

If those young men are happy the way they are, let it be so. What does it really mean to "work" and oay "taxes" when you can live happy without much? The greatest freedom comes from a lack of desires.

The Methodist Church in Fiji has declared the month of November to be a month of prayer and action for the climate for its faith community.

This was resolved by the Church’s Standing Committee which met on Friday. Church President, Reverend Tevita Nawadra says that as a nation affected by the impact of climate change the Methodist community needs to support the efforts of leaders and civil society groups who will be meeting at the United Nations Climate Change meeting in Paris at the end of the month.

Nawadra has called on the wider Christian community and our fellow Fijian sisters and brothers to join in prayer for the representatives from Fiji and the Pacific who will be speaking for us in Paris.

because Humans are greedy! They always want to move from poor countries to rich countries.
That's why Chinese want to move to Fiji, them they move on to Australia, USA, etc.
It's a step-by-step process.

But seriously, we need to address the shortage of women in villages, this is really threatening the very future of the Fijian culture, especially the dialects we want to preserve.
I suppose Fijian&Chinese is a good mix. If you have all the hardworking/business side of Chinese and the cool/kind/funny side of Fijians, you get a good mix. Take all thos chinese kalavos from the street and Suva and send them to the villages and convert them to christianity, why not?

Who's fault is it for the shortage of females in the villages? Round up the prostitutes in Suva and bus them to the villages. Mahend Reddy will lead the posse rounding up these hookers. Vili Rakoro will be the first one to be snared and put on the bus.

@Anonymous 9:56 AM

Perhaps you are one of the young males from these villages that have little prospect of finding a wife.

It's not really surprising is it if they have a similar mentality and intellect to yours and make suggestions as you did;

""Take all thos chinese kalavos from the street and Suva and send them to the villages and convert them to christianity,""

No there's no shortage of women in Fiji you assholes, it's just that more and more women are becoming lesbians. Just ask Vilisi Rakoro.

But there does appear to be a shortage of real men....................

Update: 11:00AM A 54-year-old man charged with one count of rape for allegedly raping a seven- year-old girl will appear in the Nausori Magistrates court today.

The Fiji Police Force confirmed in a press statement the alleged incident took place on October 25 in Natovi, Tailevu.

The accused is alleged to have lured the victim under the pretext of buying her some sweets.

Interesting development that has taken place is that the government is trying its level best to have the Unions sign the tripartite agreement.

If the Unions do it under duress, that will be the death of Fiji, and they will have lost their credibility. Under NO circumstances should they compromise or sign just because the government wants to. That investigation is very important for Fiji, it should happen to expose all the wrong happening in this country, long Live Fiji. Trade Unions, its time for you to show what your made of!

@11:59 AM
Never forget that we are the product of NATURAL SELECTION!
Fiji is a nation of WARRIORS and the birth ratio between men/women in warrior nations is always in favour of MEN.
Look at the statistics for the 0-5 age group, and compare rural men and rural women in 2007:

http://www.statsfiji.gov.fj/index.php/document-library/doc_download/1258-age-sex-marital-status-by-urban-rural-enumeration-fiji-2007

22569 males from 0-5 years old in the rural areas against... 20938!!!!
That is a huge difference in itself, 1600 extra male babies.
In the olden days, that difference would decide between death and survival of a group of people. Natural selection is a very subtle!!!

We can't change the course of History just like that, hence the need to either use new technology to chose the sex of the baby, or import female babies from countries where they don't want them (like India, Pakistan and so on).

LESSON: LOOK AT THE STATISTICS before saying dumb things!!!!

Are lets see what this unions are capable of, ans if they can hold they grounds, unionists like agni deo have already shown are that they are useless, wagging tail in front of bain and kai. So lets see if they actually show the bravery to go undeterred by the governments intimidation techniques. Government knows very well that is this investigation happens, all their farce will be revealed to the world. The world will know they bainimarama is a crook. I suggest that victor from Fijileaks do some writing and investigation on this issue.

latest on this is that khaiyum has given clear instruction that the document be signed either by hook or crook, he said sugar coat governments stance and make them sign or else use intimidation tactics, whichever works but he said the government will not compromise under any circumstances, it clearly shows their disregard for rule of law..now is the time to see the character of this unionists and see if they can withstand the heat from the government, I think the opposition should show unions their support as this investigation will reveal so much that has gone hidden for so long under this this dictatorship.

Update: 11:02AM A 44-year-old man charged last month with three counts of rape and one count of pornographic activity made his first appearance in the High Court in Lautoka this morning.

Filipe Kepa is accused of raping a 17-year-old on three different occasions between 2013 and 2015.

He appeared before Justice Aruna Aluthge.

Mr Kepa is also alleged to have participated in the recording of pornographic activity directly or indirectly involving the juvenile who was reported to be 15 years old when the alleged crimes were committed

In court, Mr Kepa informed Justice Aluthge that he would be seeking assistance from the Legal Aid Commission.

The case has been adjourned to November 23.

Oh well there's another Fiji warrior raping a 17-year old. Oilei.

Unions will have to stay strong and not come under any false promises of the government. To have the document signed, the government will talk sweeter than honey and after it is signed, they will say tata bye bye honey to the Unions. Now is the testing time of the integrity of the Unionists, lets see if they are for real.

@3:56 PM
Higher levels of testosterone in warrior nations may or may not explain the problem.
It is important to address the issue by rebalancing the ration between males and females at birth.
There are way too many males and not enough females.

In China, because of the one-child policy, families used to get rid of girls or sell them overseas, whatever.
As a result, millions of Chinese men couldn't find a partner and that is why the Chinese authorities started
tolerating (in fact legalizing( prostitution.

Men in villages have got ZERO option but to move as well to the cities, or join the church as priests or brothers, but that can be dangerous...
That means the end of villages in the long run. 30 young men without wives in a single village of Vanua Levu as reported in the media is catastrophic!

We need to find a solution to that issue, and the government should give incitives to women who go back to the village, like a free house, or free fridge, or free whatever. We also need to open our doors to females from around the Pacific, thus moving the problem in other countries.

@4.15 WAW!Jeeze you got a lot of time on your hands, just give us a summary next time it would make things better as many of us have jobs and a life.Getting to the point and facts is a lot better.

Anonymous said...

Gee, really no need to panic about the lack of females in Fiji for the young men.

If those quoting statistics looked at the full picture they would see that the female population gets greater as people get older.

Simple solution is for these young men to marry the older widowed women and in that way they get fed and do not have to exert themselves too much.

Problem solved.

Ok, why not allow women to have two husbands?

@4:41 PM

while you "work" writing your 2 lines comment, some people like myself THINK. If 4 little paragraphs is too much for what your little brain can take, then why don't you play some games instead?

This is a very SERIOUS issue and I wonder why SODELPA, who supposedly is fighting to save our nations of warriors, doesn't have any solution tomthat problem!!! Do they actually even know there is a problem????? I am afraid to say I think they don't...

@5:00PM
in 2007, the number of young rural men in the age group 15-19 was 19767 while females stand at 17292, a massive difference of 2500.
For the age group 20-24, we have 18426 males against 16091 females, a difference of 2400. It seems to show that a few males are living the countryside for the city in search of job and partners, but get THIS: you need to reach the group 70-74 to have more females than males (2920 females for 2830 males)

As women of 70-74 years old can hardly have children, your solution is rubbish. The last fertility group we can consider would be 40-45, but even in that group we had 14538 males for 13589 females, a deficit of a thousand.

It shows a clear trend over the years: women are moving out of the villages, in fact they are rushing out of them!
What is the SODELPA solution to that problem? What are in fact the causes of the problem?
FF is doing nothing about it!

WE NEED MORE FEMALES IN THE VILLAGES!
